i have a 97 formula convertible, what chasis mods would make the car hook up better. the car has never been to track ,stock height ,will not lower.i have just bought adj panhard, lower control arms, lower control arm relocation, ce 3 way shocks, subframe connectors. i couldn't decide adj or non adj torque arm but i have decided on a non adj bmr trans mount torque arm. non of this stuff is installed yet. the car is a 383,forged bottom end, zero decked, le2 heads and le ported intake,le custom ground cam,58mm throttle body,42lb injector, vig 3600 converter,FLT trans. i am going to stay with 3.23 gear for now because i was told they were stronger. the car has a mail order tune but when weather breaks will get dynoed. could i run the car under the nhra pure stock rule, i really don't want to put in a rollbar. i really don't know what kind of time it will run either.

wow sounds like that this has a pretty bad ass motor!
there really isnt much other than subframe connectors and rollbars to stiffing up without major modifications

You have all the parts I'd recomend, but unless you have a VERY easy going tech inpector they won't let you run without a roll bar. This is what sucks about having a convertible.

13.49 or lower you need a 6 point roll bar.
With your setup you will be well below 13.49 et.

Yea I do. It actually looks kind of cool, but it's a pain to deal with on a regular basis.
I bought mine from wolfe and even with the swingouts it still makes getting in and out harder as you would expect.
On the plus side, it certainly made everything more rigid and took away alot of the squeeks and rattles that these cars normally have.

I would recommend the adjustable torque arm, it just gives you the ability to adjust pinion angle and the price difference isn't very much. Also a set of front adjustable shocks from Strange or QA1 would definitely help with weight tranfer otherwise it sounds like you have a pretty solid start.

i really don't want adj parts . don't want to have to check them. just want GOOD parts i don't have to mess with. i just really want to take car to track every once and while to have some fun with my GRANDSONS. i believe you have to draw the line on mods some where or you will never have the right part because you will see someone always with something better, more expensive.

i have the stock rims and tires on right now. just want to try and get susp mods out of the way. i am buying rear susp parts now because i have a racetronic fuel pump with harness to put on , so i have to take rear susp apart anyway. i wil get a good front shock when i start on front. the car is a formula so it looks like a regular firebird 6cyl, but when you start it up WOW. i want to also thank LLOYD ELLIOTT for his help. a very nice man to do business with. customer service top notch.
