Default evap on intake wont clear my hood...delete??

Hey guys,

so some sorta good news... my lq4 truck intake will clear my 67 Camaro SS hood IF i remove the evap solenoid from the top of the intake.

question... do i need this evap system? my 67 doesnt even have a charcoal canister. my tank does have a vent tube on it, but i never smell gas.

so can i just block off the evap hole on the intake and tune it out of the ecm?

any side effects of not having this evap?

thanks!!!

No side effects. just plug the whole and go on. I think an 1/8 pipe thread plug will fit well.

It's not threaded. You could make a block-off plate that bolts down using the original bolt fairly easily. Someone was making them somewhere, but I can't remember where I saw them.

It is just a vacuum port. you can use it as another vacuum source if you need one !

else plug it anyway that work and looks good. Don't forget to delete it in your Tune of the PCM.
