Default clutch master cylinder

i have a 2000 t56 t/a. i cant seem to install the clutch master slave cylinder through the fire wall. i get close w/o the ubolt but then it seems impossible to get the ubolt on.

Ive even considered removing the break line assembly. is there another after market cylinder that might be easier to install. my car have been sitting for years now because of this. she going to have very low miles lol.

thx

it helps to have 2 people. loosen up the bolts that hold the brake master cylinder on. I have large hands and can get my hands/arms around both sides. Put the metal u bolt on first. have a light under the hood and a person inside the car. Its a pain in the butt but once you are done it will seem easy. where are you located.

I can't imagine what would be making it that difficult, stock ones usually go in no problem. The Tick units can be tough to wiggle in but stock ones are usually easy. You could replace the U bolt with 2 regular bolts if you wanted to, I've heard of a few people on here doing that before.

it's a great upgrade, just be patient installing it. I've installed mine twice and one on a friends' car, and every time it's just taken lots of wiggling to get the angle right. pop the clip off the wiring bundle and pull that out of the way as far as you can (it won't be much) but it'll get you the extra room you need. I start feeding the line down first, then it's just a matter of seeing what kind of angle it wants, it helps if you have someone in the car to let you know which way it needs to go

That makes more sense now. You made it sound like not being able to bolt on the master kept your car down for years. Good luck with it!
