Default Headlights with spray on tint...

just picked up a set of headlights...it has spray on tint (mine are ventshade) and figured for 20 bucks thats not a bad deal...well now for the hard part..last night I tried to use some nail polish remover and paint thinner to get the tint off....nothing.....so what would be the next best thing?

I'd say try a 1000 or 1500 grit sand then polish and see if it comes off.

Lacquer thinner might remove it or maybe paint remover. Don't use acetone (nail polish remover) because it will melt the plastic lens.

Brake fluid should remove it. Saturate a rag with it and let it sit on there for a while so it can loosen it.

I need to tell my buddy about that... he regrets putting that "spray tint" on his tail lights... he over did it and got pulled over twice for it now...

It might be better to just sand them. Chances are the plastic is yellow underneath anyway so sanding it and polishing it would make it look better then just removing the nightshade itself.
