Pushrods question
Hello everyone
I know you will tell me check it with the pushrod checker tool but unfortunately I don’t have it and I can't get one.
Can I just use 7.350 pushrods just to be in the safe side??
The cam am getting is 231/234.617/595 and I will be installing stock 799 heads as well.
i might change to 228r but not sure yet.
thank you

not milled, stock gasket and lifters
i cant get a cheker becasue where i live nobody has one and its going to take time to order one.
and i only have a few days to do the install.
many people here just use the 7.400 and hear a ticking sound when the car is cold and they are fine with it.
but me i cant live with the ticking sound
thank you Jon

Hello , how are things in the middle east ? The stock push-rods are 7.4" and a cam with higher than stock lift will have smaller than stock base circles for each of the 16 lobes , so longer push-rods for anything from .525 and higher lift Do You have the cam and do You have either a micrometer or a caliper graduated in thousandths of an inch ? If so , measure the base circle of 1 of the lobes (not the bearing journal) and if You also have the stock cam , measure base circle of 1 of the lobes and take 1/2 the difference . For instance if the new cam base circle is 1.85" and the stock cam base circle is say 2.05" , the overall difference is .020" but the difference on the valve-train will be .010" provided the heads, gasket ......are the same . If You don't have the stock cam to measure , go to the beginning of "Gen3 internal engine" and that info is in 1 of those yellow stickies or ask someone they will probably tell You . Good luck

no dyno or track numbers
it was installed in a L98 6.0L Holden ... we have it as luminna ss from chevy,
many cars here make around 420 or 430 depend on the tune from cams close to these specs.
