Default Anyone use Kenwood's KIV-700 "digital media receiver"

Interested in one as I haven't picked up a CD a years and I don't want the whole DVD receiver thing, just something that will play iPod's and other portable media players and looks good while doing it.

I have the KIV-BT900 which is similiar to the 700 and I really like it. Is there anything in particular you want to know?

Just curious how everything integrates. What is the extent of your audio system? Speakers, amp(s), iPod, iPhone, 3.5mm media player, etc.?

The stereo has complete control of ipod or thumb drive. It can access music just you can on an ipod i.e. by playlist, artist, albums songs. You can also bypass the headunit control and use the ipod itself.
My system consists of mb quart 6.5 components, a jl audio 10inch sub, with two a 2 channel and 5 chanel alpine v12 amps. It's not the most powerful system but it sounds great. The stereo has many customizeable items as far as sound and lighting.

Sweet, now I wonder if I connect my phone via USB and put it into mass storage mode, if the radio will pick up all the music in the media folder (android storage & organization), and charge it as well...?

I believe it will but I haven't tried it. One drawback though it does not have a detachable face.

Yea, that one doesn't bother me too much, I probably wouldn't ever take it off anyway.
