Question cold air intake

does pcv work well for a cold air intake? I have seen a pic or two in here that looks like what they are using.

It might work, but it might also be butt ugly.

But, at 80mph on the freeway, going the opposite direction... Who'd even suspect??

Very functional but chk the ID of the tubing. Black Schedule 40 is smaller than the Throttle body butterfly (restriction).

Yes, you can use positive crankcase ventilation for a cold air intake.

Pretty much. Here was my LT1 in an '89 Jaguar XJ6. Very low budget ride.

I thought this was a trick question, Clint (pvc).

I think I'm just going to get an ebay tube and then a decent filter, but it seems pvc would work as well as anything. For most practical purposes a tube is a tube.

It work ok. Just that there is not a convenient size. I ended up using 4" schedule 20, but the OD is too big. I had to glue my rubber connectors inside. 3" PVC seemed too small to me and the 3.5" would be perfect but it really isn`t used anywhere so its $$$$$$.

buy a cold air intake for a 99 up silverado off ebay, like $79? cut it to fit whatever you want, and its huge 4in with the right couplers and a nice big filter. Looks professional and way better than ghetto pvc pipe
