Single Digit Club - Carter01 goes 9.97 @ 133.26 today!!!!

Hey guys first off I have to say thanks to all those that made this journey possible. Thanks to Christ my Savior, JL-ws6, ATVracr, Camscam02, BLK02WS6, Madman, Chris and Dave at N20 outlet, Greg@FTI, Ryarbrough and several locals!!!

For those that don't know me, Cam Only (tsp trq2), LTs, Lid, FTRA, Full Suspension, Th400 tranny, 4200 FTI, Moser 9 with 375s, 28in slicks, 3425lbs, 250 shot, Stock Bottom End, Stock 853 heads, Stock 28lb Injectors, Maf, TB (home p@p), LS6 intake, EFI LIVE, 53k miles.

I was really shocked considering I went from 410 to 375, 26in slicks to 28in slicks, tr55 to br8efs and race gas. I was just hoping to get into the 11s!

edit- this car is driven to the track with a jack, tools, tires etc.. in the back. I change the tires then make my passes, swap back to radials and drive home.

I took advantage of the good air as well today: went 11.18 at 119 mph, 1.55 60 foot N/A then 10.39 @ 128 mph 1.53 on the jug at 120 hp shot on 8 tenths delay from WOT. Made me wish I screwed the 200 jets back in!! :bang:

Good job. I'd be curious to see how long that stock bottom end last on that 200 shot lol. I think it could last a long time if you keep the tune safe.
The th400 is what makes it all work good. They are hard hitting and rock solid if built right.

Thanks man, I believe one of the reasons it is still alive is due to the safety of the tune. I try to let the nitrous do the work instead of the timing. Timing melts stuff:D BTW - This pass was on a 250 shot, made 5 passes on the 250 so far and numerous on 200 and 225.

I agree on the th400 statement, that thing has taken a beating and just kept going. Who would have thought in like 1977 that the tranny in their old chevy van would be in cars running 9s or faster 30 years later. LOL.....

- Race Style true duals with Dynomax Bullets
- upgraded from -4 line to a -6
- upgraded from a .88 jet to a .93 jet
- deleted HVAC which was 45lbs

Headed out this sat to she what she will do in the heat. Hopefully the tune-up we are working at will allow for some better ETs and MPH.

Great post up videos! How do you like the 3.75's with the th400 on the freeway. I am switching from t56 to th400 and can not figure out what gear that I want. I am set up very similar to you just only on a 150 shot. Thanks for any advice that you can give me Trevor

With a 28 inch tire 375s are tollerable but crusing is going to be limited to 65. With the amount of nitrous I'm spraying now i wish I had gone with 350 something. Hind site is always 20/20 right:eyes:

Ok that's good to know I am going to stay with a 3:42 I will also be running a 28 inch tire also. I think if I have that it will still get out of the hole well. Plus I will be hitting it with a big shot also like I said thanks for the advice.

I did them along with a friend's welder. Very basic race setup, nothing fancy. Parts were dirt cheap, like 70 bucks for the mufflers and pipe is cheap also.

Surprisingly not too bad just riding around but when you nail it, it gets a little wild.

As far as LTs go i really don't know. They were on the car when I bought it 4 years ago. They appear to be something like Pace Ceramic coated 1 3/4s.
