Hi Everyone,

First off, we do NOT MAKE the clear 104mm lids any more. The pricing on the clear plastic skyrocketted and to make things worse, it was hard to order in the plastic without scratches and flaws. We ONLY offer the black lids in the 98 and 104mm versions.

We would need at least 10 orders to make a group buy happen on the Black 104mm lids. The pricing would be 152.99 including free shipping within the continental U.S and Canada.

We'll make the cutoff date March 7th for people to order. If we do not get at least 10 orders, the Group buy would be cancelled and nobody would be charged. Group buy orders will not ship until we get 10 orders placed.

If you want to order online, make sure you put LS1TECH Group Buy : 152.99 in the comments section of your order. We will adjust your order to the group buy amount and you will not be charged unless the group buy goes through.

You can also order via phone @ 877-955-4896

We will not be repeating the group buy so if you want a lid at a reduced price, get your order in!

ps. We do sell the TSP 100mm MAF's as well but per the TSP GB thread, we cannot do a group buy on those. However, if you want one, get your order in as they are expected to sell out quickly in the spring rush!

Thanks!

Phil @ FTP

When I was thinking about speed density, I saw this, it looks like it would work well if you cut it in half or somthing:

2 orders in so far.

The lids will work with the SS hoods but you will have some rubbing. People usually put a piece of tape of the soft adhesive velcro in the spots that touch to prevent paint rub through.

I'd been in for one! Was wondering if anyone has ever gotten the clear version and painted it (possibly from the inside). I know the MTI clear lid's are a little wavy. I say this because if I got the regular black one, I'd want to sand it to make it smoother and painting the clear would fix that issue. Either way I'm in

Unfreakingbelievable.

Everyone talks about wanting one of these lids all over the site and when FTTP runs a GP 4 other people order.

If I would have known it would take this long to get 10 orders (and the jury's still out on that) I would've just paid the extra cash and ordered 2 weeks ago.

My lid showed up on Thursday, woo-hoo!

Hey Fast Toys, the OD of my 100mm MAF is smaller than the ID of the new lid (by just a couple mm's). What do you all do to get it to fit? I was gonna use some electrical tape around my MAF, but I'm hoping for a less "rigged" solution.

Also, these lids feel so flimsy that I don't really want to clamp down too hard on the band clamp that came with it.

Solutions?

If you can Mike find a small 4 inch coupler, maybe 3 inches long. Stretch it over the lid and MAF and it will be a tight seal. Had to do that with a 3 inch coupler on my lid

The lid was sized for the TSP 100mm MAF. Other MAF's like the LPE version are a few mm's smaller. For those MAFS, you can wrapt a few layers of electrical tape around the MAF or go to home depot and get the thinnest adhesive backed foam weather stripping and wrap a layer of that around the MAF.

To check your seal, put a little disk washing soap in some water and spread it with your fingers around the neck of the lid near the MAF connection. Blow some air through the lid (fan or air compressor nozzle) and see if you see any bubbles or air movement. If you have none, you have a good seal.

Can you tell me where to get a bellows tube to connect the lid to my 90mm TB?

I have a 3-4" coupler on my current set-up but that won't fit on the 104 lid obviously :D

So I would need a 4 3/8" to 4" coupler

Where the heck do I get that???

Can 4" fit over the lid without damaging it?
