why buy the dynatec headers when you can use 351 swap headers and cut and weld ls1 flanges to them. thats they way most of us have done. the 351 swap headers will work with stock control arms.

you can use the jegs ls1 flanges. they cost like $40. they are 1 3/4". buy the jegs 30071 $129 and cut the flanges. when you put the flanges on, round the tubes to match the ls flange. take them to a welding shop and have them weld them for you. any respectable shop should fix you up for under a $100. total price for headers, flanges, and labor should be under $300. kooks or dynatech $6-700. i dont see where you get the idea that you will be out the same amount. i am using some from a sn95 with stock kmember. i know these will work.

Header rubs Passenger side control arm. The arms are so bulky that the area around the bushing(mounting point) sticks out.

How can your total be 300 when 351 longtubes are 300+??

New lt's. 300+
flanges. 40+
welding. 100

I got my dynatechs for 580 shipped

Cheapest alternative is to buy used 302 shorties and weld the ls flanges

So what did you do to resolve this issue? Can you just hit the control arm with a grinder and get the clearance required without taking too much meat off?

I bought the Jegs Uweld it kit, $79.99 plus flanges from http://www.lasertabs.com/gm-ls1-header-flang1.html $22.00 each plus shipping. So I have $140.00 in my headers.
