Default Ur thoughts Z28 SS hood

Hey,
just picked up an SS hood off Craig's list for 250$.. should i paint it pewter with black manta or leave black..

black goes with theme...i planing on getting black TT's with chrome lip

Id do the manta in black with the pewter hood, I find the black hood on these cars just looks unfinished. Nice car either way though, the TT2s should look good.

Yeah paint it,I had my 3 inch ss hood on my car for a month,at first I loved the black hood,but after a week or so it just looked unfinished ,here is a pic for you not my car ,its a sweet ride though

this is my car,like I said I loved the black hood for a week,then I couldn't stand it,I think the black stripe under the scoop looks the best,but on pewter they all look good

damn that is a pretty good argument... hmm only thing i can say about that is that, that is a chrysler product, of course your going to get shitty/unfinished parts on your car!!!!

hahaha but not for real that paint job def works for those cars but on our cars it looks like ****... just paint the damn thing.

Thing is the hood came painted glossy black and is in mint condition
UPCLOSE


I am saving my money to get it painted.... After i get my black rims just wanna see how it looks with black rims

I agree. I was just sayin'.

I, however, LOVE the look of the AAR 'Cuda and Challenger T/A - flat black hoods included. Gloss black would never work on any car though.

So, OP, paint it and buy a manta or something similar.

By the way, Bob, I actually like the look of your matte hood in this picture. Very retro-esque.
