Balad, Iraq Here.- Turning wrenches on F-16's here on the flightline. Been here for 7 months and heading home real soon. However I just found out that my house in Misawa, Japan just got absolutely rocked by the enourmous 8.9 Magnitude Earthquake/Tsunami. I live about 100-150 miles north of the epicenter of the Earthquake and only 5 mins from the coast. FML.

no, im stil working on the car. got bill to tune it a little right before i left. but really its still a home built mess im trying to work on when i get time. been to the track a couple times but nothing impressive. i need a lot more tune, clutch, and tire. i will be out on the streets soon though

Yup yup Whistler....down to days now and its a shop in the Dallas-FW area (SNL). They reassured me that the billet yoke that I have been waiting on from G-force-1320 should be there NLT friday. I hope its a bolt the driveshaft and tune the car up deal. There better not be much more work done because the car has been there since January. Im starting to get concerned if the build was out of there league or not due to the fact that it has taken this long. I guess will see when the car starts I didnt pick the shop either my brother did. I took this project off his hands and he recommeded there shop. I was already over here in the sand box when I gave him the go-head. Will see man.

Still in Mob at Ft.Sill, OK heading to Iraq in August.. Saving up for an overhaul on my 98 Z28 M6. thinking about going 408/414/416. I want more cubes. Plan on running alot of juice. Prob 250-300 hit or so. Any suggestions. Any advice on a good LS2/LS3 build??

If you're wanting to spray a 300 shot, you might want to go with an Iron Block instead of Aluminum. Added protection.

I want to shoot for 10s on motor atleast.. Still a street/strip car also.. Full weight.

me and you have the same goals, to have a full weight street car and run low 10s.....i already have a iron block 6.0, which is y i wanna go boosted, plus i get tired of filling nitrous bottles every week.

I've never owned a boosted ride.. Just been sprayin ever since I bought my camaro.. I do like that hit of extra power so I'm wondering if I will like the turbo as well.. I know alot of people go with a SC but if I'm doing a forged engine then Im gonna go Turbo or put a big Hit of juice on it.. Maybe that Direct Port system cause it looks so clean.. I already have the Moser M9 w/ steel spool and 35 spline axles.. Gun drilled and star flanged w/ larger wheel studs.. So I just need to throw some massive torque to it.

Currently at Kandahar Airfield as well with the USAF. Been here since March and leave sometime in September.

You will end up spending more in nitrous than you will with a turbo. And boost is always there. Don't knock a S/C so quick. I still have a small 347 and my car makes over 700 with stock 6.0 heads and pacesetter 1 3/4" headers.

I'm not really knocking the SC.. I know a few people who have them and love them.. But not many people around my area run a turbo.. And I like to be a lil different just to keep things interesting lol.. My LS1 with MS3 cam and LS6 intake alone runs low 12s NA and a low 11sec pass on the juice.. Close to the 10.9x mark now but I wanna drive to the track and run 10s on motor with AC and radio blasting ACDC's highway to hell.. Lol so I'm gonna do a 40X stroker build and give it a lil something extra.. Just haven't decided which ROID to put on it yet..

If you do a decent sized turbo (70mm or larger) on top of a properly built 408 and you can run 9's in a full weight car with the right suspension setup.

I just got back from Leatherneck AFG, and spent some time in Bagram. I was doing some contracting out there, but I am a former active duty Marine honorably discharged. I'm trying to go back out, contracting is were the money is!! Oorah.

Just started my 2nd and last deployment to afghan few weeks ago. In Leatherneck now for usmc, 10 months and i can get out for good and start on my full redo of the 86' Z. 5.3 T76 / T56 here we comeeee!:D:D

I'm in Afghanistan now as well. I miss my damn car but hopefully I'll come away with enough cash to knock out a good bit of stuff on the "to do list".

4 more weeks, then i get to throw all this hard earned money into my pride and joy
