Default Curios about a wooshing sound after cold start up?

Wassup guys I dunno If this is the right place to post this. I have a 2002 z-28 m6 and every morning, when I start up my car and after warming it up for like a couple of minutes I hear a pressure relief valve going off, like a blow of valve for turbo charged cars but not that loud. I was just wondering wat it was, a/c compresor? air pump? wheres the air pump located? thanks in advanced.

It's the AIR Pump - it's located behind the front fascia - if you have an aftermarket air lid with the little K&N filter on the end of the line that used to go to your stock airlid the sound is more pronounced.

The pump will cut off after a few minutes. It's probably normal.

I doubt there's a problem with the system, especially since your car is an 02. You'll be able to hear the pump for a few minutes, that's normal. Mine makes the same sound.
