double din cd/dvd in 2000 trans am My Ta got broken into this weekend, amp,ipod, flip out screen, jl speaker were all stolen, I wanted to put a detachable face double din back in. Does anyone know any good stereo shops in the Houston area that could install a double din cleanly.

Save yourself the money and do it yourself. Just buy this.
Shouldn't be too hard to install a double din headunit. If you get stuck, just check the Stereo & Electronics section on LS1Tech.

I agree with trublood. But Im biased because I make those for 6LE :-)
If you find out what size the unit is I can make it to your specific size for a nice clean look.
As far as istallation, all you'd have to do is make a couple of L shaped brackets to secure the new radio to the dash.

and they look better than factory due to the wrap...
