AES 408 boost engine $3500

Have a 408 engine built for a customer, he wants to change it to LSX block.

This is shortblock only or longblock

$3500 for shortblock only
Wiseco pistons -20cc / GFX rings
Eagle H beam rods
Compstar 4.000" stroke (LSc crankshaft)
King HP bearings
Durabond cam bearings
Machined and assembled 6.0 block

or

$7800 as you see it with MAST heads and LS3 rockers installed, ARP head studs, LS9 gaskets. JP double row chain, custom spec turbo cam pm for details.

How does this compare to your 390? Also how much boost can this setup take?

390 gets the most efficiency out of smaller head units, 76mm, 88mm etc.; twin 62-68mm

408 would be best for 91-94mm, twin TC78, or F1 head unit.

This engine should be fine to 1200hp.
