Default 97 z28 4l60e in a 2004 sierra

I need a trans for my 04 Sierra I cannot find a 4L60E close to the year so I found a rebuilt one out of a 97 z28 will this trans work or is theres going to be alot of issues with this

If it is a 4.8 or 5.3 it won't work. The pump is designed differently. If it is a 4.3 V6 it will work.

If you use the convertor pilot spacer and flexplate with the correct bolt spacing it can be done. I'm running a 96 4L60E with the 2000 LS1 in my car. Part numbers are in the link in my sig.
