Default SS Hood Question

Im looking at a "real" im told SS hood, how do I know for sure it has serials numbers engraved in it where it wouldnt be visible when attached to the hood mounts. Also you can tell the hood is made out of SMC where as im assuming aftermarket SS hoods are probably fiberglass! Any help would be great!

If it is SMC, the underside is formed like the stock, and it has the numbers then it should be an OEM. $250 is a hell of a deal, pick it up!
