ok great! it will be a LQ4/LQ9 418 ci, 4.100" crank, compression will be around 11.5 give or take..ill be useing ls3 heads not sure if i want to port them yet(probably will)..intake will be a ls3 with either a 92mm or 95mm tb.. the cam will be custom grind from pat g not sure what it is yet..what i would like is a(if possible) 500hp-550hp n/a sleeper with a 150 to 250 shot of go juice..bottom end is forged..

i can get the ls3 intake complete with the 42lb injectors and rails from a 2010 camaro and was hoping the 42lbers would work? so i wouldnt have to buy injectors but if bigger is required i will..

thanks

The stock ls3 injectors are 42 only at 58 psi so when you use the injector calculators the required size is normally at the industry standard 43.5 psi. Therefore the ls3 is really a 36. 42 would be the right size at 43.5 or 50 in your engine. The best thing is to get that ls3 setup and send the injectors to us to convert to the right size. It's 200 for the service.

so 50lb injectors is what i need for this engine? and by converting it you mean making the ls3 36lbrs to 50lbrs? will they be matched? also will it hurt to go little bigger then required, whats pros and cons?

i think he is saying a 42 lb injector rated @ 43.5 lb fuel pressure will be around 50 with the 58 psi you will have. so if he converts the ls3 36 lb'ers( 42 @ 58 psi ) to actual 42 lb'ers they will be 50 lb'ers. wow that was to much typing : (

we should make your ls3 injectors 50lb@58psi.they will also be flow matched.no need to over inject a na motor.
