Default New holly ls swap oil pan and swap parts

Any one have the lowdown on the new holly pan yet?How much,is it the one from retro,is it any good, does it fit camaros and novas and all the stuff I love.Looks like they are coming out with some nice ls swap products.I am anxious to see how the swap works as a packedge, engine placement, oilpan clearence, header fit, etc.

Supposed to be the same as Retrolsx's. I wouldn't be supprised if they tweak it a little.

I'm hoping it's at or under Retro's price of $400.

I've also been looking at the 4th gen F Body pan (F-Pan?). Street and Performance offers one that is modified that will also clear a rack as well as the center link on 1st gen. I think it's cheaper than Holley's but the price they list is with exchange. The core charge looks like around $250. If that's the case then it will be about $500 for them to modify one straight out!

I'll get my buddy to cut and weld a pan if I can find one cheap.

They bought all the equipment from JZ Motor WORKS, I went to their website and it was closed with a note that Holly had bought them out.

What?

Do some oil pans prevent using the 4l80?

Some pan do not have the bolt hole or provision for the lower bell housing to bolt up to the old pan like OEM. (some aftermarket pans do and some don't)

I spoke with Pace Performance and it sounds like Holley has finally released these for shipment. They should have these coming instock soon. This is what we plan on a using in our '88 Monte. Hopefully it will work ok with the "G" bodies.

Get the GMPP swap pan. It's not much over $200 and comes as a complete kit.

The problem I see with the GMPP (Hummer) pan is how much lower than the crossmember it hangs on a Gbody. Perhaps I am wrong though?

You're talking about the LH8 pan. I'm not. GMPP now has a swap pan.

Well that sucks. They should call it by what it really is to keep people from ordering it if it won't work.
