Question code p0141 and code p0300 thrown together what does it mean??

I'm posting this for a friend who is not computer literate. he has a 96 z28 auto. He is experiencing a stumble from 35-55 when the engine is under load "like when going up a hill"

code is not thrown when doing this however almost always thrown right at start up. he said he went to regular gas once to see if it was a knock issue. the problem was much worse when running regular gas. went back to premium problem is not as bad. code is set intermittantly as in it will go away for months at a time and then come back all of a sudden but car stumbles at idle constantly (when dead cold and when warmed up) which does not seem to throw any codes.

he changed out iac and the opti which did not help. he described it to me when it was really bad as surging at idle and low rpm but the car is stock except for a cai. he said car has great power when you give it gas to pass etc. but at low loads there is the problem. only codes ever thrown ate 300 and 141 sometimes it is only 300 but when 141 is thrown there is always the 300 thrown with it. when they are both thrown they flash repeatedly at highway speeds constant throttle etc. then go away all of a sudden.

thanks guys

P0141: Bank 1 sensor 2 (rear o2 sensor on the driver's side)

P0300: Multiple random misfires- look at plugs & wires- first run it at night with the hood open and look for arcs off the plug wires. If nothing there, pull the plugs and look for wear/ fouling/ bad gap. Stock gap needs to be .050, heat range 5 plug (NGK TR-55 is popular, reliable, cheap).

When the see light flashes that indicates random cyl misfire or multiple cyl misfire..
Bad plug (s)
Bad wire (s)
Bad coil
Bad opti
From what was stated no plugs or wires were replaced, which we all normally replace the least expensive parts in this situation since diagnostic codes represent a few possibilities.
