Default Rod side clearance

I have an LQ9 block with LS2 pistons and Scat 4340 rods. The side clearance is .022 and the spec call for .005-.020. Is the extra .002 going to cause a problem?

Well,,,they list min and max specs for a reason, although .002 is not a great amount, your measurement shows excessive clearance. Will it be ok, or a problem, idk,,one of the possible effects could be noise from the lower end, possible premature bearing failure. are you certain about your measurement? or you could never have an issue. personally I would not chance it and call scat about those rods, see what they have to say.

The side clearance is .022 on all. Big end width is .946 on all stock rod and .941 on all Scat rods.
