Valvetrain would be my guess, bent pushrod, collapsed lifter, rocker needle bearings, etc. Pull a valve cover or two.

hard to tell from the vid, Could be something in the valve train, as stated above pull the covers and check everything, It could also be a rod letting go, Either way I would not drive that car like that, whatever it is sounds real bad.. also where is your air filter assy?

Sounds like a bent push rod, but thats more common for a m6 car, can see by the video its a a4. If its not a pushrod, then its something in the valve-train, like said above, pull the covers and start fishing around, you'll find something.

sounds like the push rod hitting the valve cover, ive seen it before. maybe the rocker slipped off or broke a stud for some stupid reason.

Sounds more like a pushrod hitting the valvecover. Kind of fast to say lifter.

That's exactly what my Honda sounded like with a bent rod. Just my 2 pennies.

maybe its mad at you for calling it a bitch...... when you take off the valve covers it should be pretty easy to tell if its a rocker, one of them will look obviously different from the others

does this come from high miles or just a failed part that can happen to any LS1?

IMO sounds like a spun rod bearing.
