Default super T-10

I plan on doing either a 5.3 or 6.0 swap on my 82 firebird but I what to keep the super T-10 thats already in the car.
what will I need to make this work?
what flywheel?

You might be able to use the LS1 style clutch and flywheel, with the 4-spd bellhousing. I think 5 of the bolts will line up, or there may be an adapter to get the old style bellhousing to bolt up to the LS motor. Someone else would need to verify this, though as I'm not 100% sure on this.

I've had a T10 apart, and I would HIGHLY recommend not using this tranny. All I can say is that it's a pain to build (100s of needle bearings...ugh), and old technology. With the brass rings, you can forget about high-RPM shifting.
I'd go with a T56, hands down. If you decide to go thru with the T10, I'd suggest going thru and freshening it up. I don't build them anymore, but I can refer you to a great place to do the work for a very fair price.
