Default 408 lq4

Building an LQ4 408 stroker, Ive read quite a bit on the forums about the topic but still have a few questions.

1. Want to use 317 cast heads, what all needs to be done to run a NA 11:1 cr motor and not loose a ton of power in the heads

2. With the heads listed above, for a street motor what kind of cam should i run

3. Will an ls3 intake loose me a lot of power over the fast intake?

Im building a 408 iron block with 317 heads right now. Only difference is mine are 74cc after polishing(for FI). The 317 heads will work perfect for a street car, just run about a -6cc piston. My vette is setup this way with an SLP LS2
and comes out to 11.1:1. I would recommend the G6X3 cam, but the idle is a little bit much for most people. I make 507 rwhp and 491rwtq on 93. You can't use a LS3 intake with 317 heads...different ports. Good luck and get a good tune

Try this website to see where you have to be approximately as far as gasket, heads cc, and pistons are concerned. http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm

42 lb. Injectors, Racetronix in tank 255lph fuel pump, and a racetronix hotwire kit will be all you should need. I had a 500 rwhp 403 ls2 stroker running with a STOCK pump and had no fuel issues whatsoever. However after 2 years of racing the pump started to fail and I replaced it with a 255lph Racetronix pump and hotwire kit. It solved my problem and gave me the extra fuel I would need had I decided to go any further with my setup.
pm me if you have any questions about anything....
