HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A woman was in the hospital Saturday after witnesses say she was involved in a street racing accident in northwest Harris County.

Witnesses said two drivers in Corvettes were racing each other near the intersection of Amortabrook and Longenbaugh when one of the drivers lost control in a curve in the road and smashed into a tree.

The female passenger was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The driver was unharmed and ticketed for reckless driving.

The driver in the other Corvette never stopped and kept driving.

Because he was driving a Corvette and not a "pos" firebird or camaro.

But really... Street racing which someone ends up in the hospital and just a ticket? Those are the most lax cops ever.

Probably got wreckless driving BECAUSE the officer did not witness or caught them in the act of racing.

Everybody has been to Mexico, but I don't plan on going out, running multiple cars on the street. A pull on a private backroad is not a big deal, but still illegal. I want to runt the red car at the track....

BTW, check C6FI.
