Its a browser wrapper over top of IE ... anyway, some browsers apparently don't properly process cached images when receiving the 'cached' response from the server. We send an image cache header, so your browser has the opportunity to pull repetitive images (sponsor buttons, thread icons, smileys, etc.) from your local cache, vs. having to download them each and every time. This improves performance on the site, and makes your pages load faster because it doesn't have to pull the image across the wire.
If I run bare Internet Explorer, the images come up every time. If I run Avant, they show up red X's whenever they feel like it If you right click on it and hit "Show Image" it pops up ...

I think something has changed here on the site. If I go back to previous posts where I included a picture in my post, they are all red x's too.
If you'll take a look at this thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/121370-egr-block-off-plate.html message #6, I had a pic there but now all I can get is a red X. Am I the only one or do others see the red X also. I'd really like to figure out why this is happening. Any help is appreciated.

John, that's a problem with cross-linking images from imagestation... I can't even pull up the image in another browser window:
Code:

Ive been having problems with my computer as far as performance goes. When I first get signed on and I click on a browser to go to a site or whatever, it does absolutely nothing, and then after a minute or so, it says page cant be viewed or whatever. (something in those lines) But if I sign on and get on AIM first, then on a browser it works fine. Also, when I click on something, it doesnt do anything for a minute, and then it picks up like it was running normal. It seems the bytes coming in and going out just stop and pick up after so many seconds. I have dial up unfortunately, but its not so bad when everything is running smooth. I just cant figure out why it has been stopping in the middle of loading, and then picking back up. Whats causing this pause?
