Since not a lot of people knew about it last Friday. We got a couple LSx cars/SBC cars that will come out from another site. Figured I'd make this thread early so people could see it.

cool. I use Roger Pearson. Not sure which shop he is at now but he floats around. When I get back if funds allow, I am gonna get my sleeve worked on....but the car comes first.

Ok, I wont be there, just like the last two weeks(well my car was there the first time), but I don't mind putting the word out. Might as well put it out early so people know its going down. When I get home in a few months, I will be there every week also. So it sounds like a good plan.

Obviously my tranny and rear wouldn't hold, but the motor could easily run 10lbs of boost safely - Which is pretty damn good if you ask me considering thats what a stock LS1 with boost is making as well. Plus the V6 is alot cheaper to build.

Im not so sure that a turbo v6 would be worth the time or effort. That is, unless you want something different. If thats the case then ignore my next few statements. Just the other day i was on craigslist and i found 3 ls1 fbodys all under 5500 bucks. The lowest was a camaro for 4000. My point is, you could sink a large amount into that V6, or you could get a complete running ls1 car for a little more.

Not to mention if I buy another fbody I want a white SS and those are hard to find in good shape and a good price. Cheapest I've found for a nice white SS is 12k. What does that have to do with her being a girl? lol I wanted a black hardtop car to build and since I can't do that in a TA I got a Formula. It had to be black though. That is why they make cars in different colors, people want different options. :nod:

In all honesty, I think it would be a cool build. Plus you love your car hence the reason you were gonna motor swap it instead of just swapping wheels, dolphin sticker and emblem lol, and etc. I think there is one running in the 11's. Thats all you would want out of a DD or street car IMO. Dont want anything to radical. Plus if you want the v8 feel, drive the white convertible, or Armando's car.

Yep bone stock 99 LS car + built 4L60e + stall + turbo on 5lbs = 10.8...why do people even bother with H/C or the bottle..:bang:

And the other chris, you're right there is one running bottom 11s on 10lbs. He has a built motor but my motor is so cheap to build. Like 1500 max. So I really think I want to keep the v6. It would be the only one around and no one would expect that to be turbo. I love my car that's why I'd swap it anyways. It has everything I want. Only thing I'd do next is SS spoiler and maybe a hood later on after the turbo and all that. But your right I don't need anything faster than an 11 second car to be my DD. And exactly I'll have the formula if I want to go faster lol. People hate on it because it's a V6 but I'm sure it will shut them up if I'm beating them or atleast keeping up with them in their v8s lol :)

If I were to do my car all over again I would have go turbo. Maybe one day I will pick up a spare ls1 and build it for a turbo.

And courtney I say go for it. It would be an interesting car and especially to see run. And to swap all the stuff into that car would seem like a lot of work appose to this. Plus it would be able to keep up with most of the cars you see on the street. Do you know what size turbo that guy is running?

One mystery man that builds 3.8 V6 Kits by order is Tiago on the forums. He first boosted a 3.4L V6 now has a near 1000hp TT Trans Am that looks like a streetcar and was featured in GM High-Tech Performance. Here is his website with other V6 Camaros, numbers, and his car if you want more info:

There is another guy with a yellow Camaro and a build site, similar specs/numbers. I can't find that one, she has them all saved at home though. There is also a full stainless steel kit that gets rid of A/C but looks awesome that she has saved at home too. She doesn't care about numbers as much as the fun factor and keeping it reliable. Its a cool project to do, either way we need to decide for sure LS1 or built T5/auto and boost that sucka!
