Default The Fastest Bolt On Only LT1's in the World List

In light of the new "street stock" class at the 4th annual ltx shootout coming up this september 3rd in bowling green KY i figured i would start a fastest bolt on only list just like we have the list in the sticky for fastest lt1's.

so give your name/username, times, year/model car, raceweight, and w/e else you feel like including (DA, track where you made the pass, 60ft, 1/8th, date, etc) I will edit and update the list on a daily basis. and maybe a mod can make this a sticky?

*Just a reminder, bolt ons consist of any mod that dosent touch engine oil except rockers. stock intake required. intake, cam, heads must remain untouched etc.*

The engine was never opened up except the valve covers for 1.6 RR's and valvesprings. To this day it has only 28k miles on it (albeit many of them 1/4 mile at a time!) and is sealed up sitting in a climate controlled garage. The thought crossed my mind to stick it back in the car when I saw the post about the bolt-on class at this year's LTX Shootout, but that wouldn't be in the spirit of that class. We heavyweights used to have some awesome bolt-on class competitions at the big B-body events. Much more closely fought battles than in the modified classes!

Yes, a 26" tire. I don't remember the exact rpms; somewhere around 6200 with TCC unlocked and 5800 with it locked. That loose 3400 Edge TC was night and day difference from the more efficient Yank SS3600 I later put in it; the Yank dropped only about 75 rpm when I locked the TCC. It would have easily gone better than the 12.36 (at Cecil County, MD) if I had gone back to one of the East coast tracks with it. It was worth a solid tenth at all of my local tracks.

I think Track and/or ideally DA should be included as well with these times.

People don't like to admit it sometimes, but a track and DA are worth a bunch in some cases. I run a full half second faster on the same track from winter to summer.

hmm so u were running a 26" tire, 4.10 gears, a yank SS3600 in a 4l60, and crossing the traps at 6200rpms?

good info for me, thank you.

edit: and WS Sick i agree i also run a 1/2 second faster/slower depending on the weather throughout the year.

No, sorry I was unclear about that. With the Yank, it was closer to 5800-5900. Only with the looser Edge converter unlocked was it up around 6200.
