Can you put a 4th Gen Camaro body on a 3rd Gen Camaro Frame/Body ??
I purchased an 88 Iroc Camaro Drag Car and really am not fond of the 3rd gen body. I have a 98 Z28 laying around and was wondering if anybody has done a swap like this, or if it can even be done.
Mind you, this drag car is gutted out, caged, and back halfed, so all I need is basically sheet metal and other odds and ends.
Is something like this possible, or am I just better off cutting apart the 3rd gen apart and having the 4th gen back halfed ? That would be a lot of work either way.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

i would retain the 3rd gen camaro inner floor/subframe, but the rest of the car is already tube frame and 4 link rear and cage, but I was wondering if the door post up front would fit 4th gen doors also?

Anything is possible if you have time, skills and/or $$$.. I am sure with enough time and someone with Body/welding skill's could do something like that.
You've seen that Corvette body change (C1 on C5/6), Mustang Coupe to Fastback and most likely many other in car magazines.. so.. why not.
But I would leave that to someone who has the skills.. not for the drive way, weekend wrench..
if you do it.. get a thread going, i'd follow it
