Default BFG KDW vs KDW2

Is one wider looking than the other? Does one perform better than the other?

I heard that about the kdw2's. The kdw's LOOK like they would have better wet traction due to the directional style tread. I'm just wondering if the KDW2's look wider than the originals...

i think the kdws are for more wet driving and kdw for more dry road driving,i have the old kdw on the back of my car right now and was looking to sorta match the fronts with kdw,i dont drive my car in the rain anymore though cause i hit a cement barrier at 60mph doing 2 360s messed up the rear of my car pretty good, lucky for full coverage, never again will i drive my baby in the rain.

What size is the kdw you're running?

Does it seem to run relatively wide?

on tirerack, you can compare both tires, and it will literally tell you how wide the tire is. Just click on specs

KDW is an older style tread. KDW2 is a newer size tread. The thing thats kind of confusing is in some sizes they only offer KDW and other sizes KDW2. The KDW2 is the more popular one because it has flame tread pattern that has a very good look. The tire also performs very well. With the more aggresive pattern you do gain a litte noise, but do you really think you will hear the tires over your exhaust anyway? LOL. These are Ultra high performance tires and the KDWS is an all season tire. Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Just ordered a set of rears of the kdw 295/35/18's, I was set on the nitto nt05's for the same price, but nitto doesn't seem to allow for shipping to Canada from the US because the price is too low, plus they were on national backorder. I kind of had to make a last minute descision to get the KDW, hope they don't dissapoint, reviews seemed good aside from the noise factor.
