Prothane "Six Shooter" driveshaft couplers
Anybody know if one of these would fit in a V? If so it would probably help with the insane drivetrain hp loss. I love my V, but I hate the lack of options for it, especially with the flawed drivetrain.
Here's a link: http://www.prothane.com/whatsnew.php...47ae3285fc6c63
They have them for the SRT8s, 2010 Camaro, and C5/C6 Vette.

Doubt itd help with drivetrain loss, and the V isnt as bad as most think. I dynoed back to back with a c5zo6 with the same exact mods(identical cam and long tubes) except the Z had 25% u/d pulley and no cats and he made 20rwhp more then me. Id say 10-12 of that was due to the u/d and no cats.

One of the ones from the GTO might work. I'm actually looking onto what it takes to put the camaro's 6060 into the V, so I have a measurement for the 6060's donut and will soon have a measurement for the V's donut. I'll let you know what I find.

Yeah I saw that in GMHTP magazine this month and wondered if any of them had the right dimensions to fit in the V1. The only real downside I see is more energy being transferred to the diff. Otherwise it would be nice to have another piece to be able to shore up the drivetrain.

Holy 5 month thread bump, Batman!
There's a thread about the Revshift one over on cadillacforums. In that thread killernoodle (who posted above in this thread) posted that the '10+ Camaro coupler will also fit the V.

That is great tech info killernoodle. However, I'd rather support Max and CS. There are so few vendors supporting the aftermarket V1 community with decent products, giving my money to Prothane would be like a drop in a bucket. I think there is a nominal price diff between Prothane, Revshift, and Creative Steel, so consumer cost is not much of a factor.

Think about this....Prothane didn't make the Six Shooter to fit the V, they made it for the Camaro Boys, not us. Prothane doesn't support the V community, we just got lucky that the engineer that drew up the V coupler was moonlighting over with the Camaro crowd at the right moment.
Thanks again Mr. Lizard

I was unaware that CS made a coupler. I'll stick with them if that's that case. I need to rent their diff bushing tool as well as soon as I get home from the desert so I can get that installed along with my CS motor mounts

NOBODY GET THE REVSHIFT COUPLER...... Had certified put it in last friday i even checked everything afterwards and it was installed correctly after driving less than 10 miles! and no hard 1-2 shift only a spirited 2-3 heard a clunk from underneath turned around everything started to vibrate made it to shop looked underneath and 3 of the 6 urethane bushings had busted and bolts had almost fallen out. changed back to stock coupler and was off to the track. I am seeking a refund now and wouldnt recommend this to anyone as I do have every other Motor mount, trans mount, diff bushing, and anti wheel hop kit all in urtethane and just ordered some of the new trailing arm bushings from turninconcepts. Will let everyone know how those go

You most likely have an alignment issue with the drivshaft then. The stock one will flex and hide the imperfection that the revshift one will not. On the other forum there is discussion on shimming the drive shaft or transmission for proper alignment. Or it could just be a shitty part. It happens.

I've been runnin a week with the revshift piece in after putting in headers, CS mm's & tm. Have had no issues so far except a lot less spongyness on take off(knock on wood). I've got about 500 miles and 4 dyno pulls on it already as well.
