What are you looking to do with the car? What kind of car (or truck) is it? What engine? What tranny (and stall if auto)? Do you have specific goals for the heads swap in terms of power or budget, etc??

Let us know some of this and we can make a recommendation that will fit your needs and goals!

Only a select few have succeeded....mid 400's is very possible though with a good matched setup and ALL supporting mods. If you're definitely going with a T/S cam, talk to them about a proven setup. Also, TFS and stock castings (243's) worked by any number of sponsors are popular around here.

Remember, don't worry too much about the numbers, worry about how it runs and performs.

In general yes...but you're looking for insane power so you most likely would want an aftermarket casting. Start looking in the classifieds

I agree with wytry: Don't get stuck on the dyno numbers. That stalled auto won't be a sdyno queen like the 6 speed manual cars are!

For a budget oriented combo, the PRC Stage 2.5 LS6's will be a great way to go! We have them on sale for a tax time deal currently too!

If you have a set of 243 heads then the best value would be to send the heads to TEA for a stage II port job. Combine the heads with a Fast 102 intake and tb including all the prerequisite bolt ons and you will be over 450+rwhp with proper tuning.

The only PRC's that are priced anywhere near the AFR's are the aftermarket castings....the ported GM castings are substantially lower in price than those are, and represent the "bang for your buck" heads!

the TSP st1 ls6 heads are half the price of new AFR heads.the new rocker arm bearings are better then stock gm bearings.good for higher lift and rpms.
