Get an intake, hit up Nitrous Outlet. I think that Dave can source the fab work.

I have a buddy that owns a machine shop. How hard would this be to do?

not very, fill a few holes and drill new ones. then cut the water neck and fill it and fill the dist. hole....any machine shop should be able to do it with out too much work.

I got a spare set of heads I could give him to measure it out. Would it be easier to drill the heads?

Drilling the heads is easier ya.

!Waterneck and the work it takes to drill the intake for LT1 stuff is not that easy from what I understand, but if you get a good guy its simple. Should run like $600.

Did all the work in my own shop, no fancy tools or anthing. Then had the holes tig welded up and powdercoated the intake. Even built the top aluminum peice to accept the plenum ported intake as well as the monoblade. If you have time do it yourself, and Id start with a vortec Super Vic before that Vic E if your serious.

I lucked out and bought RamAir's already ported and modded Vic E efi intake and fuel rails then I got the Nitrous Outlet 860 elbow and the MSD sbc oilpump drive (plugs the distributor hole) and a ZEX perimiter N20 plate.

Why is that?
I'd take a larger runner/ larger plenum Super Vic over the Vic E on most apps.
I really like mine.

Roadtrip has a killer Supervic setup just like mine for sale at a hell of a good price, complete with a nice elbow and fuel rails.

I think it has your name on it.
