Anyone going to the Superbowl?
And know of a place to park that isn't $900? I heard all the shops nearby are charging hundreds. This free trip is looking a little expensive. Thinking about just throwing some bicycles in the back of the truck and parking a few miles away.

Super Bowl ticket holders can purchase a parking pass while in Arlington. The Super Bowl parking pass on-site customer service center is located at QuickTrip Park (1600 Lone Star Parkway, Grand Prairie 75050), which is located next to Lone Star Park Racetrack off of Interstate 30, a few miles east of Cowboys Stadium. Their phone number is (214) 269-2401. Parking passes will be available until Sunday morning, a few hours before kickoff.

Prices for the superbowl are ridiculous and I want the steelers off my damn campus...they are such a damn nuisance. I can't wait until all of this superbowl bullshit is over.

just ride the bus that is offered and park somewhere not anywhere close.
or heck, cough up some dough to park. 100 bucks to park isn't bad. I had to pay 40 to park for the big 12 game, and that's the normal price.

Honestly, $75 sounds high, but is not a bad deal all things considered. I would pick one of those us. Esp if you got a free ticket. Did your buddy pay for the tickets? You could pay for the parking. If all you have to do is pay $75 to go to the Super Bowl that is a deal.
I know during the regular season some of the nearby restaurants will let you park for free if you eat there. I don't know exactly how it works or if they are doing it for the Super Bowl.

Also, My fiancee is going up there to work at a bar that is right by the stadium and they are towing people that park and leave/are not in the bar. Not sure how they are going to inforce it but they are going to try. She has to have a parking pass to park there while she works....

I know the area and drive to Arlington for work. With road closings and the crowds it'll be a fugging nightmare to get in and out of twice in a day (drop off and pick up) and a whole lot to expect for free or just for gas $. I can guarantee it would cost me 3-4 hours of setting in a car. It would probably be quicker to park 5 miles away and walk there.

From how y'all make it sound, I guess we are going to have to leave a few hours earlier. Is it as crazy as everyone makes it out be? Should be pretty cool to go.
