4L80e conversion problems .
Hi Guys .
Have a problem trying to do a conversion in my Australian Built Commodore .
The car is an 2001 Ls1 with a 4L60e trans .
I fitted a 4L80e from a 96 truck and am using a wirring diagram from Slow67 .
We use the 411 computer like the 99 camaro .
Anyway the problem I get is .The trans acts like a reverse pattern valvebody .
Ie: Using EFI Live on the laptop,
I command 1st gear and it engages 4th
I Command 2nd gear and it engages 3rd .
I command 3rd and it engages 2nd .
I command 4th and I get 1st .
I have checked the wirring I did myself 3 times and I cann't fault anything I did , Its exactly like the diagram I got .
Anyone have any idea what I did wrong with the wirring ?
Or is the problem elsewhere , Ie in the box's internal wirring ?
On a side note: If the EPC Force solenoid is faulty what happens to the shifts ?
The reason I ask is because when I got 4L80e delivered before I fitted it I had the pan off and this solenoid's wirring was not pluged in .
I pluged it in , But I'm not sure if it went in the right way , Maybe I reversed the pollarity of the plug and this is why I'm getting these problems ?
i hope you guys understand my dilema .

I do not believe that the epc being pinned wrong would cause your issue. It sounds more like the shift solenoids are wired or are firing backwards. I do remember him using a relay maybe your issue is there. Hopefully he will chime in to help you out. Vince

Your PCM has to be reprogrammed with the 4L80E shift strategy. Have you done this step yet?
The shift strategy for the 4L60E is as followings
1st Gear SolA ON SolB ON
2nd Gear SolA OFF SolB ON
3rd Gear SolA OFF SolB OFF
4th Gear SolA ON
On the 4L80E, the shift strategy is backwards (as compared to the 4L60E).
1st Gear SolA ON SolB OFF
2nd Gear SolA OFF SolB OFF
3rd Gear SolA OFF SolB ON
4th Gear SolA ON SolB ON
The shift strategy for the 4L60E is as followings
1st Gear SolA ON SolB ON
2nd Gear SolA OFF SolB ON
3rd Gear SolA OFF SolB OFF
4th Gear SolA ON

3rd Gear SolA OFF SolB ON
4th Gear SolA ON SolB ON

You have it wired wrong. Be sure you didn't repin it at the trans AND the PCM. Check your wiring that is specific to Slow67s instructions.
A segment swap isn't necessary.

Any idea which wire I got wrong ?
Maybe I have the Relay pined wrong ?
The relay reverses the action of Solenoid B right ?
