TPS no voltage (and some other issues)
I just acquired a 1997 Camaro SS SLP for a good price, but it has some issues and I knew this before I bought it. For one, the idle is about 1700RPM. I have a MIL on, and I have P0122 (TPS low voltage). I checked the gray wire and Im only getting 2 volts reference. I hooked my scan tool up and viewed live PCM data and the TPS percentage never goes up. So something is up. The guy I got the car from said he just replaced the TPS sensor and couldnt figure it out. So if its getting a 2 volt reference, where do I go from there?
Next the car overheats, but Im pretty sure its the water pump. Im going to do a little more diagnosing before I change it, but does anyone have any tips for replacing it?
