Default HID question

So I ordered kits for my fogs and lows from DDM tuning a few days ago and the package arrived today. However once I opened them I noticed that the kit for my fogs seems to either be missing a part or they hook up in a way I'm not familiar with.

The one on the right is my fogs and you can see that the black and blue pair of wires are kind of...exposed compared to the lows on the left hand side. Is this actually how it's supposed to be? Or should I be emailing DDM and asking them for replacements?

You don't need that set of wires anyway. I wouldn't worry about it. I ended cutting mine off in the end.

Not sure if it matters, I have a '96 Z28, but I still believe you don't need them.

Did you just run it from the stock power harness directly in to the ballast then?

I believe that is correct..those 2 wires should plug into the connector that went in the back of the stock bulb

yeah you are missing the cap that plugs into the sockets for the stock wiring. you can plug those prongs in the factory harness and then put some electrical tape around them if you dont feel like waiting for them to send you another set

So I wired up the fog lights and have a new "issue". My DRL's are so dim in comparison, they're almost useless. Here's a pic I took to show you what I'm talking about.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

The battery and alt are both <1 year old. And the battery is rated at 850amps.

Check the wiring.

Are you using wiring harness to draw power from battery or other source or no?

I'm just doing it plug and play from the original plug. The issue is that they've always been rather dim, but the stock fog light bulbs sucked so much that in comparison it wasn't a problem. I'm wondering if getting LED's would fix the issue, I just don't know if they're any brighter per se.

Can you get a pic of what your housing looks like?
If you get switchbacks in there, you'll need an electric flasher unit to go with it.

you shouldnt be running the foglights during the day. you probably want to limit your use of them as the HIDs melt the foglights

It's just an 880 bulb replacement.
