Diablo (CMR) tuners......Questions!
i used your software to tune my 300C and i was really impressed with the results. Now I have a 2002 T/A WS6 with longtubes, catless mids, truw duals and SLP intake.
1.does the predator for the LS1 motors include the same octane tunes as for the hemi?
2.does it include the same fan setting options, increase trans line pressure?
3.are we supossed to increase line pressure on these cars?

so you have the diablo CMR tuning software???? or did you have someone do a custom tune for you, and they used the CMR software??? or are you really talking about just the predator handheld unit itself???
the GM predator for your T/A will have a Diablo Tune - which is made for 93 octane gas, and it will also have a 91 Octane Tune...
yes, there are fan settings...
yes, you can adjust the shift speed and shift pressure...
yes, you can increase the line pressure, you'll be fine...
using the CMR tuning software, tuning a GM vehicle is a lot different than a ford or dodge/chrysler/jeep...
when you open the GM tune file for your T/A, you'll see it's a lot different... parameters are different, values/settings are different, tables/scalars/functions are different (GM's don't have "functions" in their tunes)... etc etc...
I only do custom tuning for GM's, so I'm used to it... hehe... I've looked at ford/dodge/chrysler/jeep tune files, and they are very different compared to a GM...

i had both a diablo and a CMR tune for my Hemi.
i have a different car now and i was wondering if the octane tunes, changeable parameters are the same.
how much timing could someone, such as yourself, add with the above mentioned mods taking into account i run 93 on a daily basis?

ok.. so you have just a predator.. you don't actually have the CMR tuning software.. hehe...
for the GM vehicle, you will have a Diablo Tune - which is for 93 octane gas... and you will have a 91 Octane Tune...
adjustable parameters are different... not exactly the same as for the dodge/chrysler...
you need the U7198 model predator for your 2002 TA... here's the info about it:

if your asking about your engine the only way to find out is with dyno testing

You can run around 26 degrees of timing around peak torque (4400-5200rpm) and ramp up to 28 degrees by 5800 rpm if you run 93 octane. If you run 91, subtract a degree. You will want around a 12.5:1 A/F ratio with the wideband, which will be around 1.18 EQ ratio in power enrichment (assuming your MAF is stock with the screen intact). Any CMR dealer can e-mail you a custom tune with altered shift points, line pressure, shift times and fan settings. Diablosport has a really good platform for remote tuning.

i have a diablosport predator U7198 and i am about to install heads and cam. I dont want to drive on the street cause i am changing my injectors. here is the mods i will have:
1999 Pontiac Trans Am 6-speed w/3.42 10-bolt
PRC 5.3 stage 2.5 ported heads
PRC EHT .675 spings (1.800" = 161lbs 1.150" = 472lbs)
LSR cam 227/235 .614/.621 113 LSA (LSL Lobes)
FAST 36lb injectors
QTP 1 3/4 Longtubes (no egr, no air)
QTP Offroad y-pipe
SLP loudmouth cat back
FAST 92mm w/ 92mm PTM TB
FTP 98mm lid
SLP 85mm MAF
NGK TR6 spark plugs
MSD wires
Stock coils
LS7 Lifters
LS2 Timing chain
LS6 Ported oil pump
Does any body have any good ideas on how i could get my car nice and tuned to drive on the street and freeway, at least till i can get her dynoed. A dyno tune is definitely in my future but the closest good LSX Dyno tuner is 2 hours away. thanks alot and love the predator so far
