Default Need some advice driving a car home

So I'm buying a car flying to nj to get it and driving it home to Georgia. Problem is the weather and it has 315/ 18 nitto drag radials on the back. How should I go about this? Any suggestions would be great, I checked into renting a truck/trailer but to much! Other options put it in storage for a month. Fill trunk with 150-200 lbs ballast, purchase a set of rear tires for the trip. R I have a 16" set of rears with etstreets I could have winter tires mounted on them and check them as baggage on my flight up. What u guys think?
Thanks!

Well you can always watch the weather and kinda get an idea of whats ahead. I think your two best options would be the snow tires or storage. It may cost you several hundered to get tires and check them as baggage. I'd also stop and wait a storm out if you got stuck at a motel. Storage for few months may be a safe investment, Im sure you would hate to total your new ride on the way home. How about shipping the car?

just drive it. I know guys here in chicagoland that have driven 315 DR's all year. Kinda sucks trying to go up a hill from a stand still. Aside from that just plan on taking your time and you'll be fine.

Got a friend with a truck? I rented a car hauler from uhaul and towed my baby home with my Sierra 1500, pulled her great even through mountains. The trailer rental was only $54.00 per day. That would be your best bet if you have access to a truck. Gas money can't that much more than the plane ticket. Good luck whichever route you chose!

i'd store it. if you want to ship use uship. its like ebay for shipping. you post what u want to have shipped and transporters bid on it. had a wakeboard boat sent from AZ to IN this way.

The highways are well maintained on I-95 during the winter months since it's always busy. You shouldn't have any problems driving it.

when are you going to get it?

right now you'd have no problem driving here on drag radials, the roads are fine (northern nj)

Drive it no other better way to feel the car out than on the way home.
