Default What clutch should I buy?

I'm going to get a new clutch as the one in the car is burnt up and feels stock but was told when I bought te car that it was a spec stage three clutch.
I've heard the ls7 clutch and ls2 flywheel is a good combo or shld I just go with one of the sponsors kits. What else do you reccomend I do like slave cylinder, throw out bearing, etc
tonight it started griding when I tried putting it in fourth. Is the clutch jay gone or is there chance I bent a fork?

Get a stage 2-3 monster clutch depending the power your making. I believe the kit comes with slave and throw out bearing. The Monster clutch's pedal feels like stock

Also I would do a Tick master cyl and speed bleeder.

If you are looking for a clutch for your 2000 T/A in your signature I would probably go with a Monster Level 3. It seems like you are getting the car ready for some drag strip racing, so you will need something that can stand up to that kind of a beating.

Give me a call and I will be glad to answer any questions you may have and get a unit coming your way!

Go with a Diamond Stage 2 or Stage 3. If youre looking for more of a street/strip setup and are making 600hp or less, then go with the Stage 2. If youre planning to dump the clutch and launch your car on a regular basis, get the Stage 3. It's best to get the clutch that matches your driving plans for your car. Bigger isn't always better. Right now I'm giving $70 off any complete kit and free shipping. www.diamondclutch.com

Stay away from the LS7 set-up, trust me once I get mine out I'll never run one again. They are alright for low power & with stock hydrolics but eventually the adjustable pressure plate will screw you, trust me.

What about centerforce dual friction clutches? Are the Monster Level 3 clutches a better buy? Any info on the difference?

I have a JG truck with a built 370 making 500whp. It currently has a LS7 clutch setup and it started slipping today. What is the best clutch kit for a 4000lb truck that gets driven with NO MERCY....I plan on lots of wheels up launches.

You can certainly opt for one of our seven offerings, all of which provide higher capacity and a better performance oriented design than the stock LS2 or LS7 unit. Let me know if you have any questions about our offerings and I will be more than happy to assist you. Thanks,

I actually came across some old inventory of 23lb (stock weight) billet flywheels. The Stage 2 Clutch (dual friction) kit is normally $409. I'll just charge you $160 for the flywheel (normally $275), and throw in free shipping. Total would be $569 shipped. Do a search here for Diamond Clutch and you'll find nothing but good reviews. Check sig for websites and contact info..

I've been around these cars a LONG time and have driven just about all the single disk clutches out there. I wouldn't own anything but a Monster clutch for a street car,,, period.

I bet if you were to drive a diamond clutch, and you would add that to your list too. I can't think of any way it could drive any better. It drives nicer than even the stock replacement clutch I had in my car for a while.

Is the dual friction OK with stock hydraulics? The Stage 2 will hang? I powershift and all the other fun stuff in this truck.....
