Default collapsed lifter?
I was just curious what causes a collapsed lifter? Too much spring pressure? Lack of oil?

could be a few different causes, TOO much preload can kill it, oil starvation can kill it, Metal particles, in the oil can actually seize up the plunger,, ETC.
