Default OK to cut rear fender lips to clear 28's

Just looking for people that have cut their rear fender lips for clearance over rolling them, just dont wanna dick with rollin them and trimming them seems like it would be cleaner and easier. Id really like to know if its safe without messing with the structural strength of the car.....Let me know and post up tips from those that have done it......Thanks

Rolling them is much easier IMO. Plus if you cut them there is a sharp edge left that can easily puncture the tire

If you "trim" them, you will end up cutting off the pinch welds that secure the Quarter panels to the wheel wells, which greatly affects the structural integrity of the car.

Just roll them and be done with it.

The rolled edge or lip provides support for the sheet metal. I you cut the lip off then there is no support at the edge of the quarter and I've seen them wrinkle. I would roll it.
