Default My times, what should I run?

This is new engine, from the block on up. I had it built at Speed, Inc. Well, I didnt get to drive it last year for more than 1K miles. My car wont hold above 17psi for oil pressure. I want to know what my car should run. Here are the vitals. Its a forged 348" Sportsman, all bolt-ons, Spec Stage 3 clutch, Lingenfelter driveshaft, Moser 12 bolt w/ 3.73 gears. The car makes 410rwhp, and 400rwtq all motor. My car also has a very conservative tune since I blew my last engine. Im only running 21.5degrees of timing. So, I know I could make more power in the timing area. This was with literally no breakin, so I know there is a bit more there. I have everything done except for a few things. Im having my relocation brackets installed, a new oil pump, shift light, panhard bar, and thats about it.

My cars dry weight is 3520 with 1/2 a tank of gas. With me in the car it weighs 3740 pounds. All I have is the spare tire and jack removed. I raced my car on my 18" Chrome Z06 wheels with 275 street tires. I just want to know, given traction, what my car is capable of. I only ran last year all motor since I didnt have a bottle warmer at the track. My car is currently jetted for a 125 shot, through an NX wet kit.

Last year:
12.508@116.9mph, with a 2.091 60'

This was consistant throughout the day, with about 20 runs being nearly identical. I had horrible wheelhop and would almost get sideways when I would shift into second, and this is without spray. What should my car run ALL MOTOR, and with nitrous assuming that I get traction. Thanks a lot for the help!

John

12.00 the way you are, with tuning, 11.8-11.9. Nitrous is hard to say most like very low 11's that's if you can get it to HOOK.

1/4 mile is all about your 60 foot.

Well, my car already has tuning. The entire fight has been a struggle to get traction! My car is completely built. I have a new upgraded tranny, clutch, driveshaft, and a 12 bolt. Im sure I could cut some sort of 1.4-1.5 60'. Atleast, I would hope so.

Your gunna need more gear to get it to put the 1.5's down. Get some 4.10s or preferably 4.30's and som 28" tires and you could get some 1.5's and that should put you in the high 11's if your shifting is up to it.

4.10's? Damn, I thought the 3.73's would be just fine too!

You have hardly no timing it it, dam I got 30* in mine, at that trap speed you should be capable of pulling mid 11s, Im guessing your 60ft really sucks, and your granny shifting.

Actually, Im shifting extremely fast! My friend ran my car who has a Z28 as well, and he ran the same times.

60' Times were between 2.0-2.2 all day on street tires.

That's your problem right there.. street tires. You should be running an ET street or slick on 15 inch rims.

Power is no fun if ya can't get it to the ground.
