Sounds like your clutch isn't disengauging at all. What does the car do if you put in gear then try to start it? DO NOT TRY THIS IF THERE IS ANYTHING IN FRONT OF YOUR CAR!!! If the clutch is broken or the hydraulics are bad it will lurch forward into things. Also if there isn't anything in front of your car be prepaired to shut the car off if it does happen to start and roll away.

Definitely see if it will lurch upon crank-up. You mention that it shifts into 1-4 but does it go into reverse, 5th and 6th too?

I put the car in 1st gear then started the engine, the car didn't move. 5th, 6th, and Reverse weren't going in.

Ok. Try this, start the car and put the shifter in 1st gear and put pressure on it like you are trying to push it into gear. Then with your other hand shut the key off. If the shifter falls into gear then it is a clutch issue. Your 5th,6th and reverse could be a number if things. Try the 1st gear test for me and let me know.

With the engine off, the car doesn't go into gear. I applied pressure into 1st gear and then started the engine. It didn't go into gear. Then I turned the engine off and it went into 1st gear.

Were you still applying pressure to the shifter when you shut the engine off?

I read your instructions incorrectly. I didn't keep pressure on the shifter when I turned it off. I'll have to try it again tonight.

Sorry, I guess I could have worded it a little more clearly.

I ment, start the car, hold the clutch pedal in, then put pressure on the shifter like you are trying to shift into 1st gear, while keeping pressure on the shifter reach around with your other hand and shut the key off.

It went right into gear when I did this. So it's a clutch issue. Thank you!

Quick Reply: Doesn't go into any gear, then move the car 2 feet forward and it goes into gear?
