Default Im doing an ls1 camaro engine swap and have a cam question

i was wondering which cam has good street manners and has a rough idle? im doing an ls1 swap in my wifes truck and she wants a daily driver that has a real lopey and thumping idle any ideas?im only familiar with big block chevy's

you wont get a car thats great as a daily driver and has a really lopey cam. But you could always pull a plug wire or something to acheive that sound.

its a 00 camaro ls1 bone stock and with a 4l60e its in a 49 chevrolet truck 373 posi

In general drivability and rough idle are diametrically opposed. One trick I have used is to run a smaller camshaft but tighten up the lobe separation angle. Something around 225 at .050 with a 107 lobe separation angle might do the trick. However, the tune will have to be spot on.

TR224 on a 112 should be lumpy enough and has great street manners. Id suggest putting atleast a 3200 stall in it to help out though.
