Default Own a GTP, thinking about buying GTO!

I have really enjoyed my GTP, but I want to get something with a bit more kick while still being practical...in walked the GTO. I have been searching and am looking at an '04 very soon with 100k miles on it. Guy wants $10,000 for it. I would appreciate any feedback on getting a GTO with 100k miles.

I personally would save up a little more and get one with lower miles.
It would be hard for me to spend $10k on one with 100k miles when i could spend $12k and get one with 50k miles.
Thats just my opinion though. Good luck with whatever you buy.

Agreed, he want's too much.

Trust me, the jump from a GTP to a GTO is well worth it. Bear in mind parts are more expensive for these cars though.

Be careful of 04's and their trans cooler lines. Esp with high miles. Ive run across a few that were leaking from being so rotted.

preciate the feedback a lot, i reckon I will continue to wait a little longer and wait to find one with lower miles around the same price. Another month or two and I will be able to post a GTO project on here! Thanks again

Selling my 05, but not for $10K. Low miles, lots of mods, etc. etc. Take a look in the GTO classifieds for details.

I have an SSEi, and bought a GTO to replace it. So I know how you feel, and you're making the right choice! ;-)

You can find a much better deal for only a couple thousand more. You should be able to get something around 50k miles for 12 or 13k, since LS1 GTOs are less ought after.

One thing to remember when buying a car, NEVER pay what they are asking. Find a good deal, and tell them you'll buy today if they knock $1,000 off (get pre-approved first obviously). The sooner you can buy, and are able to buy tne more dealers will cut you a deal.
