Piston Recommendations

Called Clayton and Cory recommended the CP Bullet series piston.
CP Bullet SBC Piston Set Features
* Set of sbc pistons balanced within 1 gram
* 2618 alloy for strength and durability
* Dual forced pin oilers
* Contact reduction grooves
* Accumulator groove
* Forged side relief
* FEA designed forging
* Tight tolerances
* Same manufacturing process as CP Pistons
* Rigorous quality control
* ISO 9000 certified
The CP weighed 407g.
Im looking at a wiseco piston that looks like it would do the trick:
K413X3
only 347g
• Radiused Valve Pocket.
• Skirt design allows for as little as .004"
clearance with excellent wear properties.
• Anti-detonation Grooves help keep the top
ring groove free of carbon.
• Pressure Groove for enhanced ring seal.
• Features Chrome Moly Pins and Spirolox®.
• ArmorGlide™ Skirt Coating.
• Taking the XLS Series a step further,
the GFX ring package and gas
ports reduce friction for noticeable
increases in power.
• Extra deep valve pockets and a
thicker deck allow for higher horsepower,
bigger cams, and more
radically milled heads.
• Skirt coated for lower friction,
reduced noise, and superior life.
The CP has 1.5 mm 1.5 mm 3.0 mm rings.
Wiseco is 1.2 1.2 3.0
Wiseco has several pistons with even thinner / less friction rings but at 200hp nitrous I'm not so sure that would be the best.

I run the CP pistons and ring pack. I strongley suggest them that and IF you were to have a failure CP sells them individually. They are made out of 2618 which tends to be a lot less brittle then the 4032 mahle or srp piston, making them more reliable on a large shot.
When I built my motor I talked to both companies, mahle saying they felt uncomfortable with anything more then 150 shot being put to their power pack product, and CP saying
"thats it" when asking them about a 200-250 shot. They are very confident in their product and the quality and consistancy in them were great.
Its nice to have a reasonably priced 2618 piston rather then going to a JE.
I also run the compstar H beams. But with your app. Id suggest scats 6" I beams with 7/16s bolts. They're reasonably light and extremely strong. Also whats in Ed Wrights 9 sec. 383.

no sir, those are diamond pistons that i have from my last motor. i had hell fire rings. you can call diamond and get all the specs. they said those pistons would take a 300 without issue. if you want them i live about 3 miles from hpc coatings also
