Hmmmm?? Sounds like maybe a ground problem.. Possible engine to body ground problem maybe. Engine cranks because it has a good ground, but possible body ground issue, hard to say.... That's crazy!

Make sure the crank sensor is plugged up above the starter. Has happened to me before. And make sure the 3 wires I believe are hooked up on the back of the driver head for a ground. Also the body to Motor strap is Hooked up on the front drivers side of the motor to the frame rail. Also make sure if u unplugged the wires for the harness inside of the car u plugged all of them back up. Good luck I hope u get it worked out

HI,
GAS/FIRE/COMPRESSION = STARTING...........
CHECK: FUEL TANK/FUEL FILTER/WATER IN SYSTEM
BATTERY CONNECTIONS
INJECTORS
IMPROPER GAP ON PLUGS/FOULED
BROKEN/LOOSE WIRES IGNITION/COILS
TIMING CHAIN FAILURE
CRANK SENSOR

THESE ARE USUALLY THE MOST OBVIOUS BUT NOT ALWAYS TRUE.......
BE PATIENT AND USE A PROCESS OF ELIMINATION.........
PULL A PLUG WIRE TO CHECK FOR SPARK.USE A SCREW DRIVER AND WATCH AS YOU CHECK FOR ARC AS YOU HOLD NEAR EXHAUST/THEY ALSO HAVE AN INLINE TESTER. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU HAVE A BLESSED DAY..JIM

You mean fuel/air/spark? lol

OP, I see your car is a '99. Our years are known to be an electrical nightmare. Most likely it IS a ground issue. I can't tell you how many problems I've had due to faulty wiring.
