Default LS1 Differences

I'm interested in purchasing a "LS1 Fuel Injected Engine with Computer GM Part# 25534322" for my 69 camaro. GM claims this LS1 Crate Motor Kit has 320 HP and 345 Torque. Does anyone have any real world data on how much power the "crate" LS1 makes?

My question is: How is this "crate engine" LS1 any different than the LS1 that goes in the corvette? I have read that the corvette LS1 has 350 horsepower @ 5200 rpm and torque is: 375 @ 4000 rpm (Chevy Corvette manual) 360 @ 4000 rpm (Chevy Corvette automatic).

Do these LS1s all have the same heads and just have different cams or what? Please help me distinguish the differences in the LS1s. Also, would piston slap be an issue with this motor? I wouldn't think so, since it's probably and 03/04 production.

Thanks!

That is great info. I appreciate that!! Does anyone know any specs (true specs, not "GM's word") on the new crate LS1 though?
