Street Racing & Kill Stories - Bolt-on 99 SS vs. C6 Grand Sport

I was cruising on the road earlier today headed home from Sears. As I'm coming to a stop at a light I see a brand new black Grand Sport. The guy sees me as I'm throwing a friendly rev and he revs back as he is pulling onto the road. His lane is going faster than mine and I wait for my spot to merge and catch up. Further down the road I catch up and get in the left lane behind him. I had a feeling that he wasn't going the same way (left at the light) I was going so I put my blinker on and he sees it and pulls in the 2-lane turn lane. We were both in the right (outside)turn lane.. Light finally goes green and he pulls out quick to get in front of the car in the left lane. As I'm coming around the turn he is already slowing down some waiting for me to get next to him. I quickly debate to NOT shift to second, seeing as I need every bit of each gear to run with this BADASS car! I'm about a car length behind him and I roll into it and go WOT!! What happens next made my day! As I shift to second he still hasn't passed me yet!.. Oh, shit, there he goes.. about 30mph faster! HAHA!! I hit my brakes because he was rolling up quickly on a car in the left lane so he had the opportunity to move over just in case. He slows down in time and gets in the turn lane to make a U-turn while sticking his arm out the top (top was off). As I pass him I stick my arm out the window and we go our separate ways! What I would give to have a C6 of ANY kind!

Instead of putting that crate ls1 in there you should've put a crate ls6 in there.....maybe your outcome would've been a little better.

First thing first: Ricer move getting into his blind spot and then going WOT instead of lining up with him. Seriously ricer move: guys on here are ALWAYS bitching about guys pulling that shit on them instead of lining up like real men, then you naively admit to it?

Other than that, sounds like you gotta mod up. mild heads/cam or stock heads/big cam full bolton setup should take care of a stock LS3 vette.

Yeah you should have pulled next to him and just took the whoopin lol ...but anyways thanks for the write up...

How much did you pay for a crate LS1? A crate/hotcam LS3 is like $6,000 at Scoggin I think, could be wrong.
